SRAA National Championships

Malvern Rowing had a great day at the Scholastic Rowing National Championships, winning the Varsity Heavy Quad and the Varsity Heavy Double events, finishing 2nd in the Varsity Light Double, and finishing 4th in the Freshman Quad. Malvern won the Quad and Double together for the first time in Malvern history. In addition, the Varsity Double completed the triple crown, winning Cities, Stotesbury, and Schoolboy Nationals for the first time.

Stotesbury and City Championships 2014

Malvern rowing had good days at both the Stotesbury Cup and City Championships. At the City Championships, Malvern rowers won the Varsity Double and Novice Quad events, finished 2nd in the Varsity Light Double and Varsity Heavy Quad, and finished 3rd in the Freshman Quad and JV Single events.

At Stotesbury, Malvern rowers won the Varsity Double, finished 2nd in the Freshman Quad and the Varsity Light Double, and finished 4th in the Varsity Quad. The Varsity Double won by 2/100 of a second, winning this championship for the first time in Malvern's history.

Malvern rowers race next at the SRAA Championships on May 23rd and 24th

5th Manny Flick Results

Malvern Rowing had a fair day, winning the Freshman Double and Varsity Heavy Double, finishing second in the Varsity Light Double and Varsity Heavy Quad events. In the time trials events, Malvern finished 3rd in the JV Double, and 4th in the Freshman Quad. The Novice Quad rowed up in the JV Quad event, finishing 6th in a 12 boat field. Malvern returns to racing on May 4th at the Philadelphia Scholastic Rowing Championships.

4th Manny Flick Results

Malvern rowing had a good day racing in seven events, winning five races, finishing 2nd in two. Malvern won the Freshman Double, Novice Quad, JV Double, Varsity Heavy Double, and Varsity Heavy Quad, finishing 2nd in the Freshman Quad and Varsity Light Double.

Washington Street Sculling Camp - Summer 2014

This Summer, Craig Hoffman will again be running the Washington Street Sculling Camp out of 601 Washington Street in Conshohocken for both new and experienced scullers. All rowers must be going into 7th grade or older. The camp is designed to teach and advance each rower's technical skills in any or all of the one week sessions during the month of August:

Head of the Schuylkill Results

Malvern Rowing had a good day at the Head of the Schuylkill winning the under 19 varsity single event, with Jimmy McManus, Jim Sincavage and Chris Frey finishing 1st, 3rd, and 6th respectively.  Malvern rowers finished 2nd in the varsity quad (Jim Sincavage, Chris Frey, JP CLark, Jimmy McManus) event behind the Stanford Rowing Club from California and in the varsity double event (JP Clark, Jackson Connor), finished 2nd ahead of 35 doubles. Junior, Max Adamcik finished 4th in the under 17 single and sophomores (Anthony DelVescovo, Brett Allan) 8th in the under 17 double events.

Head of the Charles 2013 Results

Malvern Rowing had a good day at the HOC regatta in Boston, finishing 5th, 10th, and 15th, 17th, 21st, and 30th in the Youth Single event. Malvern finished 4th out of 39 crews in the Director's Quad race.  

Malvern races next weekend in Philadelphia at the Head of the Schuylkill Regatta.

Navy Day Regatta 2013

Malvern rowing had a good day at the Navy Day Regatta winning the Varsity Quad by 32 seconds, winning the Varsity Single, and finishing 9th and 10th in the Varsity Double.

In addition, before winning the above races, six Malvern scullers raced in the open single against senior national team athletes. Malvern rowing coach Sam Cunningham representing Malta BC won the race. Six Malvern rowers will race the Youth single next weekend at the Head of the Charles Regatta in Boston.

2013 USRowing Youth Nationals Results

Malvern Rowing had a good weekend of racing in Tennessee, racing at the USRowing Youth national championships for schools and clubs.
 
The Malvern varsity quad of Jim Sincavage, Alex Stoczko, Chris White, and Chris Frey finished 3rd in the youth quad event. Malvern's quad was the only school or club in the Philadelphia area that won a medal.

Jimmy McManus and JP Clark finished 8th in the Varsity light double and Chris Mudrick and Jackson Connor finished 12th in the Varsity heavy double.

Malvern Rowing Wins 2 SRAA National Championships

Malvern had a great day at the SRAA National Championships for schools. In rough racing conditions, Malvern Rowers Jim McManus, JP Clark, Chris Mudrick, and Jackson Connor won the Varsity Lightweight Quad, while the varsity quad of Jim Sincavage, Alex Stoczko, Chris White, and Chris Frey won the Varsity Heavyweight Quad.

Stotesbury Cup Results

 Malvern Rowers had a good day at the Stotesbury Cup Regatta. The varsity quad finished 1st in their final with a time of 4:31.3 , almost 4 seconds ahead of second place Roman Catholic, to win the Sonzogni trophy. Malvern rowers also finished 3rd in the varsity lightweight double and 5th in the varsity heavyweight double.

USRowing Mid-Atlantic Regional Qualifiers

Malvern rowing had a great day at the Mercer, NJ USRowing Mid Atlantic regional qualifiers for the USRowing Youth National Rowing Championships for schools and clubs in Oakridge, Tennessee. Malvern won the Heavyweight Double, Lightweight Double, and the Heavyweight Quad.
Malvern races next at the Stotesbury Regatta on Friday.

City Championship Results

Malvern Rowing had a fair day at the PSRA City Championships winning the Varsity Light Quad, finishing 2nd in Varsity Heavy Quad, and finishing third in the JV Single. The Varsity Heavy Quad was a close race with Roman Catholic finishing ahead.
