Spring Season Approaching

Well, the winter erging season has been "fun" to say the least. Ten of the guys raced off against rowers from Saint Augustine's Prep for the second year in a row, and this year we were victorious. Congrats to all the guys who participated.

Practice this past Saturday was at the Conshohocken Boathouse at 9am to get everything ready (such as the oars, etc) and to pick up the launches. At the bottom of the post are directions to the boathouse if there is anyone who is new or just happened to forget. These directions will be linked on the main page on the sidebar.

Here's a link to a map of the Conshohocken area near the boathouse.
Directions:
Take 76 East to the Conshohocken Exit.
Follow the exit towards Conshohocken, (Fayette St.)
Cross Route 23.
Go past the Marriott Hotel on the right.
Cross over the bridge and the river.
Immediately after the bridge take the 1st Right, East Elm Street
Go to the 1st RIght, Harry Street.
Follow one block to the dead-end,
Turn Left onto Washington Street.
Go .7 miles to #601 Washington Street.
The building is on the right hand side
It's a little difficult to spot; it's right past a little brick building with a beautiful lawn)-- you should see the blue Malvern Boat Trailer next to the building.
There is good access to the boathouse from the Blue Rt. as well. Just get off at the Rt. 23 Exit and then follow the directions.

First fall Practice

Fall Crew is finally starting...

Weight lifting occurs every Monday-Wednesday-Friday and it is strongly recommended that you attend. Most people generally get there at around 7 AM, but the weight room is usually open before then, and remains open until about 7:45 AM.

After school practice starts Thursday, Sept. 8th. Everyone is meeting at the senior parking lot near the crew tanks at 3:30, and we will then go for a +/- 5 mile run (two laps around the cross country trail).

The first day down at the river is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 9th.

On Saturday Sept. 10th, practice starts down at the Conshi boathouse at 9:00 AM. Right after practice, all the boats will be rigged for each specific rower. A thorough cleanup of the boathouse will take place after practice. The cleanup is expected to take about 2 hours, but don't count on leaving until the job is done.
