Malvern Rowing had a busy weekend, racing in Mercer, NJ and Philadelphia.
At Mercer lake on Saturday, Malvern's Varsity Heavy Quad finished 1.3 seconds behind New Canaan Rowing Club in a heat. All quad finals were cancelled because of wind Saturday afternoon leaving Malvern's Varsity Heavy and Light Quads with no finals to race.
The team then headed back to Philadelphia for the 5th Manny Flick on Sunday. Malvern's Heavy and Light Quad raced in the same Varsity quad final in very fast conditions with Malvern's Heavy quad winning by .09 over Roman Catholic with the lights finishing 4th by .54 behind Conestoga's Heavyweight quad. Max Adamcik finished second in the JV Single.
Malvern races next at the Philadelphia rowing Championship in May.
